1. What is this?

    Secure the 'Force is a Capture The Flag (CTF) game that was built using the Salesforce platform by Salesforce engineers.

  2. Who should participate in this CTF?

    All Salesforce admins, developers, users and security professionals should participate in this CTF.

  3. Why should I participate?

    You should participate to get a hands-on learning opportunity about basic security principles, Salesforce secure development, Salesforce security settings and most importantly to HAVE FUN!!!

  4. Are there prizes?

    Yes! The top 3 scoring participants will receive a prize from Salesforce.
    Note that you must be physically onsite at 4pm PT on October 16 to claim this prize. If you are not, the next top scorer will be notified and eligible to claim it.

  5. How many challenges do I need to do?

    You can do as many challenges as you want to do.

  6. How do I check my score and where I stand?

    Go to the Scoreboard tab to check out every participant's score.

  7. How are the winners decided?

    The 3 highest scoring participants will be considered winners. We will reach out to the winners via email to distribute prizes.

  8. How do I register for this CTF?

    Go to the Get Started tab for detailed instructions on how to register and start playing.

  9. What happens after I register?

    After you register, we will create an insecure Salesforce trial org for you. Go to the Get Started tab for detailed instructions on how to register and start playing.

  10. Where can I find the username to my Salesforce org?

    You can find your username in the account verification email. This email can take a few minutes to arrive in your inbox.

  11. How do I get the password for my Salesforce org?

    You can reset your password through the account verification email that you got from Salesforce support. Click on the Verify Account button, this will let you set a password and security question for the Salesforce org that we created for you.

  12. How do I log in to my Salesforce trial org?

    Log in to your new Salesforce account by navigating to https://login.salesforce.com, using the automatically generated username from the welcome email and do not register a recovery phone number.

  13. I did not get an email from Salesforce support to verify my account. What should I do in this case?

    Reach out to support staff via the Chat widget in the navigation bar if you don't get an email within 15 minutes after you finish the registration process.

  14. I do not see any admin or developer challenges. Why is that?

    You will have to complete the Initialization step first to see the admin and developer challenges.

  15. How do I complete the "Initialize" challenge?

    Go to the Challenges tab, and click on the Initialize challenge. In the challenge, click the Validate button. This will redirect you to Salesforce. If you are not already logged in you will need to log in with the credentials you selected while resetting the password for your Salesforce org. For step by step instructions on how to register and start playing, go to the Get Started tab.

  16. What do I do if I forgot my CTF password?

    From the CTF login page click on the “Forgot your password?” link and enter the email address you registered with. A password reset email will be sent to that email address.
